If you search on the internet, there are many curry udon recipes. I decided to do more “soupy” homemade curry roux, but if you don’t feel like making your own or don’t have time, there is always a store bought roux waiting for you :).
Shawarma is one of the most popular dish in the world. In Israel shawarma is usually made with dark meat and is commonly served with tahini sauce.
This time I made chicken shawarma, but you can definitely make it with fake meat or soy, or any kind of meat you like, spices is the key to preparing this food.
Mie goreng, also known as mee goreng or bakmi goreng, Indonesian stir-fry noodle dish. While travelling through Indonesia you can easily found it in any street market, sold by food vendors. I can’t travel right now so the only option to taste these noodles is to cook it myself.
What I like the most about this dish is how flavorful and easy to make it is and the best part – you can play with different ingredients.
This time for mie goreng I used chicken and eggs, but for the vegan version exclude them, also oyster sauce can be substituted with hoisin.
Although San Bei Ji originated in China, this dish is very popular in Taiwan. What I like the most about it is the simplicity. You need just basic ingredients and all the flavors come together just perfectly. This time I made three cup chicken with Japanese rice wine, but next time I will definitely try to make it with Shaoxing wine.

I love how versatile bao buns can be. However, I am not a huge fan of pork belly, that’s why my version is with chicken. If you want bao to be vegan, replace chicken with jackfruit or tofu!

For this recipe chicken thighs with skin-on are usually used, but at the moment I was able to get only drumsticks. Still, it turned out AMAZING. Lemon-garlic-chicken fat-vegetables juices combo is to die for.
And the best part is that leftovers are sooo good the next day (or even better than the day they were made?)! Veggies are soaked with sauce and chicken fat and all the flavors are just perfect together.
These past few days are wintry. Usually I am not a big fan of soups, but when outside is this cold, I …
Souvlaki is popular fast-food in Greece. Super summery, it reminds me of the joyful grill season days. It is usually served in pita bread with tzatziki, cucumbers, olives and other veggies. Quick meal, you just need to marinade your chicken in advance.
Let’s start this week with a simple chicken teriyaki dish that is quick and perfect for weeknight dinner.
